Dog Friendly Accommodation
Dog Friendly accommodation bookings will only be accepted on the condition that pet owners have read, understood and agreed to the following dog friendly accommodation terms and conditions by signing and returning this form. We apologise if this all sounds a little stern but experience has shown us that not all lovers of dogs and quality accommodation consider carefully, or take appropriate responsibility for the decision to bring along their 'best friend' and we are not interested in being a cheap alternative to a boarding kennel for every man and his dog. Should it become necessary to ask the dog owner to cover the reasonable cost of any of the below it is expected, and understood, that they will promptly do so. - Dogs are to be of a quiet nature and it is the owner's responsibility to keep noise to a minimum at all times. Constant barking and/or howling, is not okay.
- Complaints from nearby residents and guests in the Captain's Cabin will be referred directly to the owners, including the matter of refunds due to early departures.
- Dogs are not to be left alone for long periods of time. The expense in ruined gardens and property damage will be referred directly to the owners.
- Dogs are not allowed inside the cottage under any circumstances. The cost of flea bombing, steam cleaning, labour and two nights lost income will be automatically referred to owners (total $720).
- Dog owners will dispose of all 'number twos' and use the hose to disperse 'number ones' where practical, as it kills the lawn, and drives us crazy!
- Owners will provide:
- bedding for their pet
- food supplies
- We will provide:
- One large dog kennel located under cover
- Drinking and food bowls
- Fencing surrounding the cottage (1.2m lowest) with latch gate
- Information on dog friendly beaches and other areas on the Mornington Peninsula.
- Beyond this the proprietors take no responsibility for the health, happiness, location and well being of dogs.
If all of the above conditions suit you and your best friend/s, then we are more than happy to accommodate you. We are not trying to take advantage of your love for your pet but simply protecting our long-term interests and assets as well as the health and happiness of the guests who come after you.
