The Cottages are now photographic art galleries as well.

The spectacular photographic work of Ken Heggie, as well as a few of Annie's shots, are on display in the cottages. Why not take home a memento of your visit to Pirates Bay?

Ken Heggie grew up in the Melbourne bayside suburb of Bon Beach and has spent the last 16 years living and working on the Mornington Peninsula. He has enjoyed a great affinity with the bayside and ocean beaches through scuba diving, surfing, boating, bush walking and photography.

"The Mornington Peninsula has everything to offer from rainforest
to the calm bayside beaches
to the rugged and wild ocean beaches
that few other places could boast of in such a small area".

He began making pictures seriously about 1996 specializing in landscape and seascape photography. In recent year he has also added custom picture framing to his skills. His company, Detec Photography and Framing formally commenced operation in 2002 and now provides services including framed and unframed original photographs, custom framing and supply of prints and any other custom framing including memorabilia.
